You want to know what is heartbreaking? Overhearing two young children leave our store last week, excitedly chatting with each other about how they ‘get to eat tonight.'”
Yeah. That single moment is why our community food pantry exists. We hear kind words and see thank-you notes left on our sign-in sheet almost daily, but that conversation cuts right to the heart of it. No one, especially a child, should ever have to worry about their next meal.
And itβs why we are eternally grateful for the wave of community support we’ve seen recently helping us to fight food insecurity. We have to give special thanks to the incredible people and organizations who are helping us meet the growing need:
Beckie (get well soon!), Jim and family for their regular drops of items from the Hopewell Market!
Andrew for the recent drops of fresh organic tomatoes and peppers from his garden!

Linda for the weekly supply of juice boxes, snacks, and other items, specifically for children!

The staff from the Victor/Farmington Food Cupboard for generously sharing their overflow of Starbucks goods!
Larry, Andrew and the staff at Gleaners Community Kitchen for sharing their overflow of bread and other items on a regular basis!

Veteran Johnny and Michelle for showing up multiple days in a row recently with BOXES of items, as well as committing to continue regular deliveries after seeing how quickly their first drop flew out the door!
Lakeshore Wine & Liquor and customers for their continued support via the donation jar at their checkout!
All local businesses & organizations running food drives for us!

…and the many, many others who wish to remain anonymous (or we forgot to mention!) We see you, we appreciate you, and you are making a profound difference. ![]()
The need is real, and it’s growing. If you feel moved to help, you can:
Drop off food items at our donation doors out back during business hours.
Donate via the red box by the pantry, or through our website: https://fingerlakestreasuretrove.org/support/#gift
Ask to round-up your change or add a donation at the register when you check out your thrifted treasures!

EVERY. SINGLE. DONATED. CENT. goes directly to stocking our pantry. It allows us to buy food in bulk from partners like Foodlink and local suppliers. Thank you all for showing up for your neighbors.
