It’s been a non-stop week at the Treasure Trove food pantry, and we are still overwhelmed by the generosity of our community. Given the current circumstances, we’re honored to be a local resource for those in need, and we couldn’t do it without the incredible support we’ve received. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to every single person and organization that stepped up this week:
The staff at Young Chiropractic dropped off over 20(!) bags and boxes of food from their October food drive for us!

Melissa (and her 3 beautiful dogs) brought us multiple bags of cat food and dog food!
Kris and Leah dropped off a bunch of leftover Halloween candy.
Our friends at Victor/Farmington Food Cupboard dropped off a bunch of frozen Starbucks sandwiches and pastries!
Larry, Andrew, and crew at Gleaners hooked us up with boxes of bread, apples, pears, and raisins!
Linda made her weekly drop of juice boxes and fruit cups for the kids, then returned with canned meats after seeing our supply running low!
Ashley S. donated $25 online!
Jennifer T. donated $25 online!
Michelle S. donated $25 online!
Linda sent us a check for $25!
Sheila A. donated $200 online!
Melissa brought veggies!
Renee dropped off a bag of food!
Peg donated $50 in person after learning about our pantry, and then promptly jumped in and helped someone shop! ![]()
Shawn gave us $20 (and burritos for lunch)!
Linda H. donated $30 in person!
Katrina R. donated $25 online!
Ross and Carly sent us a check for $100!
Bob and his lovely mother went shopping at BJ’s and backed a trunk load of food to our pantry doors!
Rachel gave us a check for $100, and ALDI gift cards!
Finger Lakes Dental Care donated $250! Thanks again Dr. Jason!

Veteran Johnny and Michelle dropped off a couple boxes of Thanksgiving-themed foods!
Mary Ellen and Tim made an unknown but generous donation in our red box!
Janenne dropped off two bags of food!
Laura from Ontario County dropped off a box of food and candy!
Geraldine and Edward dropped off a check for $50!
Whew, we think that’s everyone but are probably missing a few. So a special thanks to everyone who quietly dropped off food and cash donations while we were busy elsewhere (as much focus that has been on the pantry lately, we are still a 2500 sq ft nonprofit thrift store!
) Multiple pantry visitors and shoppers also dropped cash in our red donation box and/or rounded up at the register! Every little bit helps us as we cannot stress enough how blessed we are to be able to get certain foods from Foodlink for as little as 19 cents a pound. We also have a can opener fund going at the front desk to bulk buy some and make them available for any pantry visitor who needs one! Thank you ALL for your incredible generosity!
We have to give a massive shout-out to Amber, who stopped by last Saturday. She told us that she “represented a local business” and asked about our nonprofit status, 501(c)3 information, tax ID number, etc, but she couldn’t clearly state the purpose “until something was finalized…” We enjoy a good mystery around here. Well it turns out she’s the catering and events coordinator at Simply Crepes! She stopped back on Tuesday to let us know they are doing some amazing work for the communities they are in this month!

1. Their Webster-Penfield location is running an emergency food distribution program for the entire month of November!
2. Their Canandaigua location (right up the street!) started a food drive for us this week, and also asking customers to round up at the register all throughout November to benefit our pantry! ![]()
This is a huge boost for us, and we are so grateful. Please stop by, thank them, and get some delicious crΓͺpes! ![]()
Finally, we had a couple of visitors from Lyons National Bank stop by on Thursday to discuss ways THEY can help. We’re excited about this potential partnership as well. ![]()
It’s all good in our hood, and we like helping people. SO many new faces this week; some in tears not knowing what they were going to do this month. It was nice to see tears dry up, sadness turn into hope, and smiles walk out the doors.
If you would like to help us help our community, our latest flyer is attached and details what we need to keep our shelves stocked. You can also find that and more on our website: https://fingerlakestreasuretrove.org

If you need some assistance, stop by and take what you can use. As usual, please sign in using the form on the table. It’s quick, easy, and helps us gather the statistics we need for our Foodlink partnership. Aside from signing in, all we ask is that you be mindful of others that come after you and don’t clean us out. We aren’t a grocery store or full service pantry.

Finger Lakes Treasure Trove 222 S. Main St., Canandaigua. We are open TuesdayβFriday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. If you have any questions or suggestions, you can email us at hello@fingerlakestreasuretrove.org ![]()
